Michaela specialises in high-value and complex claims involving catastrophic injuries. Since 2016, she has built extensive experience in settling claims and securing compensation for seriously injured clients, both adults and children.
Expertise
Michaela works with clients who have sustained life-changing injuries, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and severe orthopaedic injuries, often involving limb loss. She specialises in complex claims arising from road traffic collisions and accidents at work and has been involved in several multi-million-pound settlements.
She has experience securing damages to meet injured individuals’ long-term needs, including lump-sum and annual payments. She also has worked on cases involving complex neurological conditions and their impact on damages assessments. She regularly assists clients who lack capacity, working closely with Court of Protection deputies, and has experience handling cases involving sensitive information and anonymity orders.

Career
Michaela completed her law degree at Sheffield Hallam University before going on to complete a master’s degree in law at the University of Law. She began her career as a paralegal in 2016 at Irwin Mitchell in its serious injury team and started her training contract in 2021. She qualified into the serious injury team in 2023 before moving to Leigh Day, where she worked on similar catastrophic injury cases. She joined Stewarts as an associate in 2026.
Personal
Michaela’s passion is to travel, and she spends much of her time exploring Europe (and sometimes further afield) as time allows. She also enjoys keeping fit, describing herself as an amateur gym-goer.
